[source]: Remove patch.  Fetch from git.
[build-system]: Use pyproject-build-system.
[arguments]: Remove check phase override.  Add adjust-for-pytest-7.2+,
pretend-version and prepare-for-tests phases.
[native-inputs]: Add python-hatchling, python-hatchling-vcs, python-py and
python-pytest-timeout.
